Building a new home raises many questions. After all, this is a big deal. We understand there can be some uncertainty when you’re first considering a major project like building a new home. We hope you find the answers you’re looking for, but please contact us for more information and advice.
Mornington Homes is run by a registered building practitioner.
Once you design your own home and building commences, you may visit the home by appointment only and must be accompanied by a Mornington Homes representative. This is due to the Victorian OHS Rules and regulations to ensure site safety.

Yes. Our business has a customer service policy, procedure and staff codes of conduct to ensure our clients come first in all our operations.
Your Project Manager is your first point of contact. You will be introduced before construction of your new home begins.
Rodney Howard is the registered building practitioner for Mornington Homes on the Mornington Peninsula and has been in the building industry for 20 years. We also have very well experienced building and contract managers, interior designers and so on.

It is a common myth that winter is a bad time to build and although sometimes it can slow construction, this is rare. Over the course of the complete build, there is very little difference in build times from season to season.
Yes, upon request we can provide references from previous clients. We also have many real client comments on our website.
As we give the opportunity to design your own home, most of our properties are individually designed and we do not currently have a display home.
We can arrange walk throughs of our homes that are close to completion so you will be able to see a real home and not just a display house.
Any town planning and associated fees, we connect you with an independent town planner.
Yes. Mornington Homes has a 6½ year guarantee against structural failure. A certificate of insurance is given to the owner at the handover of their new home.
Mornington Homes has a three month maintenance period, which we often extend beyond that period to ensure the total satisfaction of our clients. In this time, we will repair or organise the repairs for your new home.
When you design and build a new home, there is a chance some issues may arise. As we are all about your satisfaction, we will sit down with you and take time to listen and understand any concerns. Our business has been built on referrals from happy clients, so it is our priority to resolve any issues as quickly as possible.
Design and drafting costs are included in the fixed price contract. You are not charged any extra as we have our own in-house building designer and draftsperson.
This usually takes between 9 -12 months depending on the complexity of the home. We don’t cut corners on craftsmanship and make sure that complete care is taken during construction.
All Mornington Homes clients enjoy the benefits of fully detailed specifications on every home we build. We also take the time to run through the specifications in detail with you to check it is exactly as you are expecting.
Yes. We offer genuine fixed price contracts with none of those nasty surprises later on.

Yes! We have built many homes on sloping blocks for our clients.
Yes! As we custom design we can design and build on narrow blocks.
